Conifer Park is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Glenville, NY. Under the general supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the IT Support Technician will partake in support desk calls and tasks. This individual should possess a solid understanding of support desk troubleshooting and basic network skills. This position requires participation in after hours on-call rotation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support and resolution of support desk queries
  • Properly escalate unresolved queries to next level of support
  • Utilize and maintain support desk ticketing software
  • Install, test and configure workstations, peripheral equipment and software
  • Assist with onboarding of new users including user account creation and first day user sign on walkthrough
  • Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain desktop applications
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, RDP, Terminal Services, and Print service administration
  • Troubleshooting and resolve desktop OS and applications issues in a timely manner
  • Patching security vulnerabilities
  • Assist in inventory of all computer equipment and software licenses
  • Creation of scripts to automate routine tasks
  • Create network and system documentation as required
  • Researches, documents, orders and manages new equipment requests
  • Manages and trains users on remote network access including VPN/RDP/RSA software
  • Supports smartphone users
  • Participate in after hours on-call rotation
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in desktop support
  • Microsoft Windows desktop OS (7,8,10)
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration
  • Must have relevant vendor certifications, such as A+, Network+, upon one year of employment
  • On-call availability and periodic overtime including nights and weekends
  • Occasional travel to remote sites as needed
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new emerging technologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical School and/or College Degree in IT related field
  • Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and security policies and practices

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
  • Lifting and/or carrying of 15-30 lbs. or more and pushing and pulling carts when necessary
